The above is the correct answer. Modern products require people working in factories to produce them. If you look at any of the pictures in WT publication of the new system you will notice that there are no factories only happy JWs standing around grinning. Even if there were supermarkets in this so called paradise what products would they contain? All the worldly name brands like Coke, Heiz and Hershey's would be gone. What products would you find in a supermarket after the big "A"? Jehovah's Morning Crunchies cereal, Theocratic brand after dinner mints, All Along the Watchtower brand frozen dinners. And if you think this bad try pushing your card over to the video section to buy a movie to watch. What kind of movies would you find in this new order? Knock Knock Who's There?, So You Made it Through Armageddon, what now?, Spending Eternity With Those You Hate.
Just the though of it makes me sick.

Just how I feel. I guess a lot of us are in that position.
As for John he sounds delusional. I once knew an elder who was raised in the witness yet had all these stories of things he had done that no one raise in the WT could have been involved in. For instance he was always talking about the military and his military training when in fact he had been to prison because he wouldn't go in the military. I think everyone knew he wasn't telling the truth but him. Being a witness can do strange things to the mind. Witnesses seem to accept things like this in other witness that would scare them away from any other group.

we went round to his local to celebrate my da announcement (made on tuesday 22nd november).
it was his idea, to "drink a toast to freedom", but i was up for it as well, and we ran into a former brother and his girlfriend.

RACISM IN WT

I have met a few JWs who were racist in some ways but not very many. The witnesses I knew didn't care about color.

by MegaDude incould someone direct me to a society publication or scan where the wt claims god picked them out of all the religions to be the truth?

It is all in your head Legolas. It has nothing to do with reality. I think women tend to feel more that way than men do. Who hasn't known a pretty woman who thought herself ugly. I think it also has something to do with being a witness. Because of wt indoctination a lot of witness don't feel good about themselves and it could carry over into your life after the wt. I think it also could be chemical. I noticed years ago how I could be feeling a little depressed and have a cup of coffee and something sweet and all was well with the world again though nothing had really changed.
Think about what Riko said about having friends and family that think she is ok although I'm sure they think she is a little better than just ok. Look at how Luna2 has felt about herself entirely without any reason to think that way. If we took poll on you and the others who say they have hated themselves I think at least 99 percent of the people hear would say they like all of you so again it has nothing to do with reality. The people who should hate themselves like Hitler and Stalin never do. If you continue to feel this way I think you should talk you your doctor.

Yes, I love listening to him on the radio when I am in Riverside CA. I can't get him in my area. I just bought his book at Costco. He looks like Mark Hardy the former LA Kings defenseman. He goes after debt like Mark played hockey, boy is he strict. If you listen to him you will get out of debt and be way ahead of the game.

yup,it was a j-dub doing a crude job of impersonating a cop to pump me for my private info and to get me pissed off at the real police.

Danny I find this very interesting. Did the dub get arrested? I thought you could for impersonating an officer. I wonder if anyone else has had something like this happen to them. Jdubs have been known to sneak around trying to catch someon doing something undubish. If there is more to the story please go on.

I don't bump into witnesses anymore...............
by JH ini remember years ago, i couldn't pass a day or two without seeing a witness someplace, either walking or in their cars going door to door or just traveling to the hall.
often i'd see them at the grocery store or at the bank.. but it's been months now since i've seen a witness.
gee it's fun not to run into them anymore.
